Kris is committed to supporting, coaching and educating small nonprofit, and business executives to live out their vision and achieve their mission by developing a strategic understanding of the real business value of human resources.
She founded Pinnacle HR Consulting, LLC in 2011, by transitioning more than 20 years of human resources management experience in nonprofit and corporate professional services organizations into a full-service consulting practice.
Kris manages the firm's client relations, service agreements, and operations. She also coaches and advises executives, develops and implements business strategies and provides viable client solutions. Her expertise includes strategy, policy, organizational development, employee relations, employee benefits, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and risk management. She enjoys finding ways to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity by analyzing, interpreting and applying human resources metrics.
Between 2011 and 2017, Kris served as a pro bono Account Director and Advisory Board Member for the Taproot Foundation, in Washington, DC. During her tenure, she evaluated and ensured clients’ readiness for service grants; developed and maintained an advisory relationship with executive directors; addressed and resolved client and team relationship challenges, and ensured timely responsiveness. Kris also reviewed and approved the quality and delivery of service grant products. She volunteered approximately 500+ hours managing pro bono project teams who delivered skills-based human resources capacity build service grants to local nonprofits. Kris continues to serve the nonprofit community as a Taproot pro bono Senior HR Consultant.
In 2019, Kris volunteered as an Instructor for the SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Prep Course through the District of Columbia Society for Human Resource Management (DC-SHRM). In January 2023, Kris began volunteering as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the HRCI exam development panel.
Kris holds a bachelor's degree magna cum laude in business administration. She is a member of both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and its local chapter, DC-SHRM. Kris is both SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.
